Take teaching and learning to the virtual world. Learn the necessary skills needed to capture your work online and share with students and colleagues, 24/7. Participants will be able to create differentiated online learning opportunities for a variety of target audiences after the completion of this Institute. View best practices in the core content areas of Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, and develop the ability needed to adapt these practices into your professional practice. A variety of tools will be introduced during the Institute that can be integrated into all core curricula areas. Learn how to: Communicate and share document easily online – (Adobe Acrobat 9) Create powerful and engaging simulations without programming knowledge or multimedia skills (Adobe Captivate) Host a Webinar Post your curriculum content online Use to interact and broadcast with a global audience The Institute will include time to explore, develop and share your own resources using the tools presented. Participants will produce a final online product that will be reviewed and then presented to the class. On-going support will be provided through online discussion forums and/or school visitations. This professional development is aligned to the New York State content standards, the National Educational Technology standards, and the National Staff Development Council standards and can be used in conjunction with any content area program.There is a $400 charge for this 4 day institute.
